Goodstart Early Learning CDU

Goodstart CDU is a modern early learning centre located on the Charles Darwin University campus on Lakeside Drive in Brinkin. Just three minutes from CDU and five minutes from Royal Darwin Hospital, we are a convenient option for families who work or study nearby, as well as families from the wider local community.

Our centre opened in 2022 and has a consistent team of educators, with many having been with us since the early years of the centre. Several educators also bring more than 10 years of experience in early childhood education and care. Each room has two permanent educators, helping children build familiar relationships with educators who know them and their families well.

We welcome a diverse community of local, multicultural and international families, including many who work or study at Charles Darwin University and Royal Darwin Hospital. Educators speak languages including Chinese, Hindi and Mandarin, alongside English, reflecting the diversity of our community.

Children learn through play, exploration and meaningful experiences that build on their interests and individual development. Our eight rooms support children across Nursery, Toddler and Preschool age groups, with three Bachelor-qualified early childhood teachers contributing to our learning programs.

We have recently refreshed the layout and learning environments in both Preschool rooms and continue to invest in our learning environments and resources, including approximately $20,000 in new resources in 2026.

Families can follow their child's day through real-time StoryPark updates, including meals, nappy changes and sleep. Children also enjoy cultural celebrations, special events, incursions and caring for our centre goldfish.
