Goodstart Early Learning Bendigo - McIvor Road

This is a 5 star excellent childcare centre. From when you walk in and greeted by the team, it’s a warm and friendly vibe which sets the tone for the whole place. Knowing little about the childcare world, I picked Goodstart for its proximity and a good vibe from the tour however I am extremely grateful it’s been the place for our 1 year old for several reasons: - Goodstart is not-for-profit so educators are paid above award wages, this is reflected in many staff who have been there for several years which is a sign of a good workplace. This is then shown in the love and care that educators show the children. I have been in awe of how attentive, caring and loving they are towards my son, nothing is ever a problem and they remember so many things about him. They are really knowledgeable too about child development, which shows how passionate the staff are. - This centre takes pride in its cleanliness, the rooms feel clean and our son seems to come home as clean as a toddler can. - When I looked at Google Maps satellite view, Goodstart Bendigo has the biggest outdoor place spaces of any childcare nearby. Big sandpit too. - They do so many activities and rotate books/toys really well. Our son is also now into his music and dancing from the daily dance sessions which he seems to love. - Food quality is excellent and 4 week menu is great. - The weekly newsletter is awesome, includes info on local kids activities too which is handy. - They supply the nappies, sunscreen and sun hats which is one less thing to worry about. - I really like that the location is not based near traffic lights or car pollution, it’s set back from the main road and close to other gardens and fresh air. Parking at the centre is also very easy. - glad my son is attending a not-for-profit which is owned by Brotherhood of St Laurence, The Benevolent Society, Mission Australia, and Social Ventures Australia, rather than a profit centre where the money could be going to questionable characters. - They’re very inclusive and due to being a national chain, you are given well researched, expect backed quarterly educational updates on your child. - Compared to other centres nearby, the prices at Goodstart Bendigo are fair and even slightly lower.

My boys absolutely love it here. The staff are fabulous. Amazing communication, they work with you to help your little ones settle in. Every pick up my kids are beaming with smiles and laughs. It’s so reassuring to see how my kids are flourishing and genuinely enjoying their time at this Centre.

Our experience with the staff and educators at Goodstart McIvor Road has been amazing. Lisa the director is wonderful and makes the experience as parents stress free knowing our children are in safe hands. The educators are fantastic with the kids and provide great opportunities for learning and play.
