Welcome to Garfield Street Children’s Centre

Catering to children aged 0 to 5 years, Garfield Street Children’s Centre is a stand alone service that has been owned and operated by Maria Walsh (Bachelor of Education - Sydney University) for 25 years. Maria is a teaching director and almost half of our team have been with us for 10 years or more. We value our staff and believe that this has supported a higher level of consistency and coherence in our educational programs.

Our service has very generous outdoor play areas as well as plenty of internal space. Outdoor play (weather permitting!) is a fundamental part of our day to day activities.

Our philosophy is strongly individual and family focused and over the years we have played a key role in the lives of many children, their families and siblings. Providing a safe and consistent environment that facilitates learning in the most natural way is what we do best.

Located on Garfield Street, we are opposite Five Dock Coles with easy access to both park and public transport.
