Galloway Children’s Centre is a community based Not-for-profit operating since 1986. We open weekdays from 7:45am to 5.45pm Galloway is licensed by the Department of Community and Education to care for 39 children from 8 weeks to 5 years of age. Our daily fee is $64.00 and with Child Care Benefit can be as low as $17.13 per day. The Centre provides high quality care and early childhood education.
Galloway Management Committee is managed by a Board of parents.

We proudly implement a ratio of one staff member to four babies and 1 staff member to five, two year olds and have been recognised as a Sun Smart Centre by the Cancer Council.

Galloway has two rooms; the Koala Room holds 12-16 places for 0-2 and 3yr olds, and the Possums Room holds 20-23 places for 3, 4 to 5yr olds. The Possums Room is also the Preschool Room. The Centre has two full time early childhood teachers and 4 qualified, experienced and friendly early childhood staff and a part-time administration staff member.

Programmes: incorporate learning experiences appropriate for each child as indicated by the developmental records maintained by the centre. The programmes challenge, while fostering personal and social development. It encourages parents and family members to be involved. Staff aim to provide a pleasant, responsive atmosphere where interactions with children are warm and friendly. We conduct a school readiness programme for the four year old children and staff are on hand to discuss this with you.

Lunches and morning and afternoon teas are provided by parents, as are nappies and sheets. Nutritional meals are encouraged. The Centre provides milk for morning tea and drinking water is available at all times.

Philosophy: Galloway Children’s Centre will provide quality care for children allowing them to develop holistically as individual and independent people Accordingly, the centre’s environment will be safe hygienic and welcoming with a child centred programme and evaluation.
