About Explorers Early Learning - Nunawading
Explorers Early Learning is a locally owned and operated early learning service providing high-quality early childhood education, Kindergarten, and care for children aged six weeks to school age.
Through their Reggio Emilia inspired curriculum, children are encouraged to play and explore, laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Their experienced Educators work closely with families and the wider community to ensure each child’s individual needs are met. Additionally, Explorers offer an integrated, Government-funded Kindergarten program to prepare children for the next step in their education journey.
All Explorers Centre are designed to be welcoming and inspiring spaces, with beautiful classrooms, central piazzas, and landscaped outdoor areas. Importantly, a key focus has been placed on indoor and outdoor spaces with sustainability in mind.

We’ve been part of the Explorers Nunawading community since it first opened in 2021. Our eldest completed their journey here, and our youngest has been attending since she was a baby—now thriving in 3-year-old Kinder. We couldn’t be happier with our experience. What we love most is the strong sense of community and the genuine relationships built—not just between our children and their educators, but with our whole family. In the industry myself, I needed to find a centre where I felt confident leaving my children, and Explorers Nunawading has been that place. Our children are not only well cared for, but feel connected, supported, and truly thrive in such a warm, welcoming environment. The educators support their social and emotional development, independence, and unique strengths. They also extend their learning through meaningful experiences—embedding sustainability practices and a deep appreciation for our First Nations people. We are so thankful to have had the incredible team at Explorers be a part of our children’s journey and development. They listen to families, value feedback, and constantly strive to offer the best for the children and their community. Highly recommend!

Our child has been attending Explorers for around six months now, and we are incredibly impressed with his development during this time. The educators — Anna, Christine, Rosa, Ivy, Vidya, and Amy — are all wonderful and genuinely caring. They create a nurturing and stimulating environment where our child feels safe, supported, and inspired to grow. We’ve seen remarkable improvements in his motor skills, confidence, communication, and social interactions. The thoughtfully designed learning framework encourages him to explore, engage, and challenge himself in meaningful ways. His participation with other kids has noticeably increased, and we’re truly grateful for the positive impact this centre has had on him. The love & warmth given by the educators makes him so excited when we drop him off in the morning at the centre.
