About Dundas ELC
Dundas ELC is a brand new long day care centre catering for children aged between 6 weeks and 6 years located in the suburb of Dundas. We operate 52 weeks per year from 7.00 am till 6.00 pm. Dundas ELC is a privately-owned family business. Our goal is to provide the highest quality care that is a child’s right – stimulating, positive experiences and interactions that will foster all aspects of early childhood development.
All meals, milk, nappies, wipes and sheets are provided in the fees, meals will be cooked daily by our chef at the centre and meet all the nutritional guidelines set out by NSW Health.
We use Storypark as our means of Programming. Storypark allows our families to easily view and update what their children are doing during the day through an app on your phone. You can see your child’s learning and programs as well, at a time that is convenient for you. Many family members can be added to your child as well, meaning families can share with members close by or even overseas!

I was nervous to start my son at childcare because of previous bad experience in another creche. The team at Dundas ELC let us ease into it, provided me with practical advice and my son LOVES it. Since starting his behaviour has improved, he loves learning and playing with his friends. Everyday when I pick him up he says “school is fun!” The team is really passionate and caring. They have my full trust and I couldn’t recommend a better childcare centre. Thank you Kath and your amazing team!

Came back to write this review after transferring my son to a new daycare centre for about 3 months because I just realised how poorly Dundas ELC had been run: My son was there for about a year and a half. I would give 5 stars for the first six months, but after that the staff rotation and management were very messy. There were educators joining and leaving for every three or four months, so the kids had to get to know the new ones again and again. Whereas other centres that I visited have many educators working there for years. There was an extremely unhappy accident. My son’s face was scratched by another kid about a year ago and I received a phone call from one of the previous educators who told us about this accident and claimed my son was ok. Didn’t mention he was bleeding and had several exposing fleshes. When I picked him up, no band aid or antibacterial gel or anything were used for the wounds. There were also other incidents like his finger was clamped by the sliding door and caused fractures, which we had to take him to hospital for a little surgery. And one of the newly joined educator shook my son brutally just because he didn’t want to take a nap even though that educator left right after. Parents should avoid this centre.
Response from the owner8 months agoI am very sorry for your experience here at Dundas ELC. With the change of management just before you left us, we have made some changes with staff and had training in meetings to discuss Active Supervision by doing courses to ensure the safety of the children as one of our top priorities. We do take incidents seriously and apologise for what your child and you as a family experienced during your time with us. We have a good solid staff team now as the new director has taken time to find a team who work well together and fit the model of staff we want working for us and representing us in our local community. We thank you for your feedback, as we can learn from your feedback how we can better ourselves as a centre to serve our community better.
