Cumberland Preschool Kindergarten

This kindergarten is truly special. In my view, the broader early childhood education and care sector could learn a great deal from this kindy.

From its thoughtfully designed environment and play areas to its embedded excursions, parent engagement and clear communication, every aspect contributes to a welcoming and enriching place for young children. Most importantly, the kindy’s qualified, highly capable educators take the time to understand each child’s individual needs. They gently encourage independence, creativity and a strong sense of community.

While governments continue to debate what quality early childhood education should look like—and the sector faces significant funding and compliance challenges—this kindy demonstrates what the standard should be in practice.

I could not be more impressed. It is a true credit to the director and educators, and our family feels incredibly fortunate to have this wonderful place making such a meaningful contribution to our children’s lives.
