DO NOT SEND YOU CHILD HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM! Honestly I wish I could give a negative review of their management, their staff and their facilities. Ill start with the easy one, the facilities. My God I have had my eyes opened after my child started at a different Kindy earlier in the year and goes here 1 day a week. The facilities at this centre are barely suitable for a child. 1 toilet block for the whole kindy. 2 enclosed toilets the rest open. The kindy room is smaller then a single car garage in a modern home. Everything is just outdated and too small for the number of kids there, the 1980s want their kindy back.... The staff, while some are great others are not. They dont check in with kids about their toileting and dont care about educating them. I have arrived to pick up my child quite often when all the kids are crammed into the tiny kindy room (which was a garden shed kitted out to be a room) are they educating them? No they are just putting them infront of a TV. Countless times I have arrived with my child covered in poo and when its brought up to the educators they just shrug and say oh we didnt know.... I could smell it from 4M away what do you mean you didnt know! All of the good staff that were there when we started have slowly left and the new staff aren't up to the same standard. That leaves the management.... well this is a long one. The centre temporary manager is by far the most unprofessional, narcissistic, antagonistic people to ever run a kindy. Andrea is her name. If she doesnt get her way she will talk over you and belittle you to the point where she will question your own parenting of your child. She doesn't like to be told no your wrong when history tells she is wrong more then shes right. Children dont suddenly get better when they get sent home. If they are sick they are sick. If a child has got a temperature and you send them home and they get home and stop running around and actually drink water and their temperature goes down that doesnt take a doctor to figure out they arent sick. But to Andrea they are sick every time and she gets snarky and aggressive when ringing to get you to pick your child up. To the point if you cant come that instant she will hang up on you very aggressively. They quite regularly change the door code quoting child safety, I get that. But its time to grow with the times. Get a door lock that everyone has their own code like Edge does. This morning I watched a educator walk inside less then 5M infront of me. When I got to the door I didnt remember the code as our child goes once a fortnight when we have him. I pressed the door bell and knocked to no one in the office when I literally just watched her walk in, Andreas excuse was she was out the back with the children which is not possible in the time she had from going into the door. I had to search emails to find the code and then when I got inside the educator was just standing there glaring at me. No good morning no recognition at all just a stunned mullet. I said hard to remember the code to get in we dont come often enough and she decided to be snarky and say well its written on the door... we change it for safety. I accepted this, thought she was a bit rude didnt say anything else logged in and went on with my day. Obviously she had a issue so she spoke to Andrea who decided instead of confronting myself about a Issue with me she decided to pull my partner aside when she got there to pick up my child and let her know about Andreas issue with Me. Didnt tell me, went around me, tried to get someone else involved. I was told and rang the centre to which she "accidentally" hung up on me after realising who it was. Then proceeded to belittle me and talk down to me when she rang back. Hung up on me 2 times during the conversation, I never raised my voice, never got abusive. She said she wasnt comfortable talking to me. Only reason for that was she didnt like being called out for her own rude behaviour. Extreamly unprofessional childish individual who should not be running this centre. Avoid at all costs.
