About C&K Carindale Community Kindergarten

At our kindy, your child will feel safe, make friends and belong. We have an open natural learning environment where the children explore, investigate, and extend their learning.

Our experienced and passionate educators foster close relationships with families, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment. They focus on nurturing your child's curiosity, building their resilience and developing their confidence - all through the joy of learning through play. We operate during QLD school terms and are closed for school holidays, public holidays and some pupil free days.

Kindy is FREE for eligible-age children (those turning 4 by 30 June, in the year they attend kindy) for 15 hours per week for 40 weeks (up to a maximum of 600 hours a year).

Nice environment. However teachers do not actually teach to kids anything useful to get ready for school. They do not teach numbers and letters. Communication is also not good. Overall it has been a disappointing experience.

As a play-based kindergarten guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), we focus first on the social and emotional skills that research shows best predict a smooth transition to school: - Confidence to try new things and cope with challenges - Ability to manage emotions and resolve conflicts with peers - Strong communication and listening skills - Independence with self-care and daily routines - A genuine love of learning and curiosity Early literacy and numeracy are woven into children's play every day, rather than taught in isolation. This is very much in line with what current research and the EYLF tell us gives children the strongest start to formal schooling.
