Welcome to C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre

C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre is a Branch Service located in Blackwater in Central Queensland. Blackwater is a community located approximately 2 hours inland from Rockhampton and is ideally located to support the coal mines in the local area.

The C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre is very fortunate to contain large indoor and outdoor play spaces supporting natural play environments for children and families to enjoy.

C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre caters for Children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age, including a government approved Kindergarten Program. At the C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre, we provide a connected and caring environment for children and families to feel welcome, connected and engaged.

After renovations approximately 4 years ago, we have a 5 room service catering for up to 70 children per day, 5 days per week. All of our rooms are air conditioned and built to provide natural lighting and cooling.

We are surrounding by natural environments, including natural shade provided by our large trees, have a wonderful bushtucker garden, swings, bike tracks, and a very large sandpit, shaded verandahs and natural gardens.

C&K Blackwater Community Childcare Centre supports C&K's nationally acclaimed and highly regarded Building waterfalls curriculum, which is a curriculum supporting play based learning which encourages and supports children to express their own ideas and understandings through supported experiences. We value the connections with families, and the wealth of experience and knowledge that they are able to provide to support children's learning.

Children are valued for their thoughts, ideas and interests and are nurtured to extend and develop their knowledge and understandings of the world around them by quality educators.
