Welcome

Welcome to Arlington Drive Premium Childcare

The Crèche and Kindergarten Association Limited (C&K) is delighted to have merged with FMJ Childcare Pty Ltd in October 2016 and warmly welcomes families from Arlington Drive Premium Childcare.

We are an all-inclusive daily service fee which includes nutritious meals prepared fresh daily, quality nappies, T-shirts, water bottles, sheet bags, hats and visiting entertainment.

Nursery

Our nursery program is designed to help children develop an awareness of both self and the world around them, within a warm, caring and family-based environment. This prepares children for future learning and the transition into the Toddler Room. As your child gains more independence, emphasis is placed on developing social skills, such as sharing and co-operation, as well as imagination through creative play and exploration of their environment. Nursery routines are very flexible allowing children to move freely around the room to discover, learn, create and develop. Babies are loved, held and nurtured to ensure that they receive every opportunity to develop in a safe, happy, stimulating and caring environment.

Toddlers

We transition babies from the Nursery to Toddlers when they start to walk so that they have an opportunity to practice and perfect motor skills with children of the same developmental level. This is a very busy time for your toddler. They are very intent on discovering new things about themselves and their environment. Beginning to walk, trying to talk, learning to listen, climbing on things, investigating cupboards and trying to take things apart, are a few examples of toddler behaviour. The program includes a variety of stimulating activities, small group interactions, quiet time, free-play and independent exploration. Educators will provide encouragement and provide a safe, secure environment as your child develops self-confidence.

Junior Kindy

The Junior Kindy program offers positive experiences through child-centred and hands on experiences. The program is developed around the children's individual interests and is reflective of service policies and philosophy. Educators will support your child's development through interesting, challenging and fun activities, sensitive listening and responsive relationships. Children have time to determine what interests them, through exploration, touch, practice and communication. Materials, activities and daily routine are designed to match the needs of children.

Senior Kindy

Young children learn best when they enjoy what they are doing. Play is the natural way for young children to acquire a vast range of knowledge and skills. Our program allows children to immerse themselves in experiences that challenge the mind and body so that they develop a greater awareness of their environment. In Senior Kindy there is an increased emphasis on numeracy and literacy skills in preparation for your child’s entry into the more structured Pre-Prep Kindergarten Program. Every child develops at a different rate. Educators will monitor the progress of all children to ensure that they are appropriately challenged.

Pre-Prep (Kindergarten)

Our Kindergarten Program includes the introduction of a more structured format so that your child will start to experience the sense of being in a group in a classroom environment. We expand on early literacy and numeracy skills, as well as encourage creativity, logic, reasoning, social and life skills. We use an Interactive Smart Board, computers and iPads with computer literacy programs such as Letterland and Reading Eggs. Write 2 Spell and You Can Do It programs are also used which promote children’s social skills. Play-based learning environments offer diverse opportunities to explore, discover, and create; fostering qualities such as curiosity, perseverance and risk taking.

We look forward to welcoming you at our service.
