Children First – Blacktown Road Children’s Centre

We moved our son to this daycare when he was 3 years old, after being at another centre, and he has now spent two wonderful years here. The centre itself isn’t flashy or brand new, but what truly makes it exceptional is the quality of the educators. Shortly after he started, our son was diagnosed with a hearing impairment. Even though the team didn’t initially have experience with this type of additional need, they worked closely with us every step of the way. They listened to our concerns, asked questions, and genuinely partnered with us to support him; not only in his day-to-day care, but also in inclusion, and helping raise awareness and understanding among the other children. We always felt heard, supported and trusted. The transition to primary school has also been amazing. The centre organises three sessions with the local school, which has helped our son feel confident, ready and genuinely excited to start “big school”. The outdoor space is another big highlight. It’s a real natural environment with plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning, risk play and exploration. Our son has truly thrived there. While we are so proud to see him ready for this next chapter, we are also a little sad to say goodbye. This daycare has been with us through the good and the challenging moments of the past two years, always partnering with us to support our son’s development and help him grow so much. We are incredibly grateful for the care, kindness and dedication of the whole team. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a nurturing, inclusive and supportive daycare.
