Canning Bridge Early Learning Centre

A friend recommended this centre, so I emailed to ask about the conditions a few reviews had mentioned. They were quick to respond and explained the concerns came from a single February 2026 incident, which they said they self-reported promptly and described as a supervision lapse where the child was never in any danger. They also mentioned the centre was rated as Meeting the National Quality Standard across all seven areas in April 2026.<br><br>In my research of centres in the area, I had a look at the WA Education and Care enforcement actions register. It records that in May, Canning Bridge Early Learning was found to have contravened:<br>- Section 166(1) Offence to use inappropriate discipline<br>- Regulation 155 Interactions with children<br>- 174(2) Offence to fail to notify certain information to Regulatory Authority<br>- 165(1) Offence to inadequately supervise children<br><br>These weren't mentioned in the centre's reply, which focused on the February incident.<br>The failure-to-notify and additional inadequate-supervision notices don't seem to align with the reassurance they gave that the February breach was a stand-alone incident that was promptly reported.<br>The "inappropriate discipline" finding worried me most, as it's a serious category of offence.<br><br>Previously, I had just been screening centres based on their reviews, but the register gives good insight to those shopping around before touring.<br><br>I'd really encourage other parents to read the enforcement actions register themselves and come to their own conclusions.
