Canguro Family Day Care

Our names are Jordi and Xenia, we are originally from (Barcelona) Spain, and came together to perth over a decade ago. Both of us worked in the Childcare Industry here in Perth for a several years, before having our son Keanu we noticed how hard it was to give personalized attention and care to kids in a big centre. 'Canguro' which means Kangaroo in Spanish it's a term we use to refer babysitting or looking after kids.

Thats why we both opened Canguro FDC in our own house and couldn't be more happy with the experience. We both run our homebased business, although we both have different working days stablished, the other educator is always around to give a hand if needed. 

We speak to the kids in Spanish as much as we can to give them the richness of a second language. Most of the kids understand us perfectly  as the routines are most of the time the same: wash hands, sit down, get your hats etc. Althoug we do also speak to them in english when there is a new kid or when we need to speed things up!
