Great place! Great staff! They really know how to look after little ones’ needs. And good at helping newbies settle in. Reception and caregivers are so good! 5 stars!

Lack of communication with parent. Reply to Busy Bees Cragieburn on 20/12/2024 Dear Management Team, We had our first orientation on 12 December 2024, and my child was happy, with positive feedback from the kindergarten teacher. During this visit, I discussed the Centrelink enrolment process with Manager Alicia, who assured me it would formally begin on 19 December 2024 after the second orientation. We completed the second orientation on 15 December 2024, during which my child appeared settled and was playing outdoors when I picked him up. There was no negative feedback from the Educators, and the educator asked a few general questions about his start date and dietary considerations. We fully expected that my child’s enrolment would begin on 19 December 2024, as previously discussed. However, when we called the center on 18 Dec 2024 to confirm and request the parent handbook, we were informed—without prior notice—that his enrolment was on hold, no one call us to updating anything or discuss anything regarding the why the enrolment on hold. I believe we already had a discussion and provided feedback during the phone call on 18 December 2024, and I want to be clear that we are not willing to accept a third orientation. As parents, we expect clear communication and transparency regarding our child’s progress, well-being, and enrolment status. Unfortunately, the lack of notification and support has left us feeling disregarded, and my child did not feel welcomed during the second orientation. Creating a safe and inclusive environment for children is paramount, and effective communication with parents is a crucial part of this process. I hope this feedback helps improve practices moving forward to ensure a better experience for other families.
Response from the owner3 months agoHi Keira, we sincerely apologise that the suggestion of a third orientation session to help your child settle into care did not meet your expectations. We understand how important it is for both you and your child to feel comfortable and supported during this transition. Our intention was to offer additional support, but we appreciate that every child and family has unique needs, and we are sorry if this approach did not resonate with you. Please know that we are committed to finding the best possible solution and would be more than happy to discuss another orientation or other options that might better suit your child’s needs. Please let us know if this is something you'd like to explore.

At the start I was really happy and was reassured but after the signing up process and then started his first day of care they explained that they have to pause care. Paused care and I had to follow them up which wasted a whole 1 week of my and my sons time to be told that they can't provide him with a spot due to waiting on further support for other children and the educators were overwhelmed. If you can't have anymore children in the room why waste my time signing him up, taking money out of my account, making him come to orientations and have his first full day? Very unprofessional in my opinion and also does not help when the child feels comfortable and has to start all over again. Don't say you have availability in the room if your educators pyschically can not look after the children.
