Brooks Street Nursery is without a doubt one of the best things that happened to us when we moved to Brisbane with our toddler.<br><br>We had visited a few different centres before finding Brooks Street, and nothing felt quite the same. From the moment you walk in, there is such a happy, warm feeling. The staff genuinely seem happy to be there, they know the children so well, and you can tell they really love what they do.<br><br>A huge part of that comes from the manager, Chris-Anne. For her, you can tell her so much more than just a job, she is incredibly passionate about the centre and the children and staff in it, and she doesn’t miss a thing. Her attention to detail, the care she puts into the children’s experience, the events she organises for the families and wider community, and the fact that nothing ever feels like too much trouble really make Brooks Street stand out.<br><br>Our daughter found the transition difficult at first, and the support we received was great. Chris-Anne gave me three books herself to read with our daughter at home to help her understand and feel more comfortable about starting nursery. Her teachers were equally wonderful and, during those first few weeks, would update me throughout the day to let me know how she was doing, which gave me so much reassurance.<br><br>Within just a few weeks, she went from not wanting me to leave in the morning to being genuinely upset when I arrived to take her home at the end of the day! Watching her become so happy, confident and settled there was just the best.<br><br>Brooks Street is one of those rare places, where you genuinely feel that your child is known, cared for and loved. We sadly had to leave because of a work relocation, and saying goodbye was much harder than we expected.<br><br>We will miss everyone there enormously and are so grateful for the time our daughter had at Brooks Street. It will always be such a special place to our family, and we honestly couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
