We believe that children are strong, capable and are individuals with unlimited imagination. We believe that learning for children is based on cooperation within their environment with an authentic approach. Through an emergent and experimental experience, children develop their potential and knowledge throughout their own investigations and with the guidance of educators.
Through play-based learning, children achieve the confidence to express their thoughts and creativity. I believe that there is a strong connection between children's physical, social, emotional and spiritual well-being. It is important to have families and communities involvement in Early Childhood Education. Children see learning as a social activity and they value collaborative learning from their community. Mutual relationships and respect with families play an important part in the lives of the child.
Here at Bright Little Stars, we provide each child with a secure, caring, stimulating and enriching atmosphere in which they will be able to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. I support children as they embark on a journey to explore the possibilities of themselves and learn to recognise their feelings. Therefore I believe it is important to provide an environment where children and families from different cultural background feel welcomed and accepted.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Bright Little Stars on Haig Street in Chatswood. I was told about this day care from a friend, close to home, it is absolutely a hidden gem! My son started at age 2 and attended till he went to kindergarten and my daughter from age 1 to age 5/ kindergarten, all up we had a 8 year tenure with BLS.l :) Fiona the director is excellent, caring and understands parents and kids well. Having 2 daughters herself. What makes BLS special is the beautiful caring nurturing environment, it is very homely. The children are well cared for. Everyone is treated with respect and equallly. All the staff are helpful and hard working. There is lots of outdoor play, yummy food. The kids learn a variety of skills plus having a lot of fun- dancing, singing, how to pack away and manners to add. I would recommend BLS as a great place to send 0-5 years those early years. We still look back on our time there with fond memories and both kids still talk about their time there. We have friends we made at BLS who will still catch up with for birthdays and play dates. Thankyou BLS for a wonderful start to child care for our family, we appreciate it!

Bright little stars Chatswood is the best childcare around, it's unfortunate we've had to move away but my son loved his time here, the staff are friendly and amazing, very family orientated which is what we wanted for our child!

I regret discovering Bright Little Stars too late! It’s not a large childcare center, but that’s part of what makes it so special. Before enrolling my child here, I had sent them to a larger franchise childcare center. However, as the fees increased and we moved house, I had to find a new childcare center just 8 months before my child started kindergarten. Looking back, I wish I had known about Bright Little Stars sooner. This center may be small, but it has a warm, family-like atmosphere with a high ratio of teachers to children. While it doesn’t have the flashy facilities or materials that bigger centers offer, my conversation with Fiona, the director, reassured me that her educational philosophy aligned closely with mine. Ultimately, I chose this place, and I am incredibly satisfied with that decision. Bright Little Stars focuses on teaching letters, numbers, art, and other age-appropriate skills in a detailed and engaging way. Although they lack modern, high-tech resources, they use creative ideas and unique approaches to spark children’s interest. The teachers are kind, warm, and genuinely caring. It’s clear that they are dedicated to their work and create a comfortable, nurturing environment for the children. At my previous childcare, I often wondered how much my child was truly engaging in the activities when there were so many children in each class. But at Bright Little Stars, every child is encouraged to complete tasks from start to finish, no matter how small or big the activity is. In terms of quality and affordability, this center exceeds expectations. If anyone I know is searching for childcare, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bright Little Stars. It’s truly a hidden gem!

We’re so grateful for this place. The ratio of daycare providers to children is unbeatable. They really love the children they serve and my kids feel safe, challenged, and stimulated. Very happy our family found this place
