About Bimbi Early Learning and Kindergarten
Bimbi Early Learning and Kindergarten is a family focused child care centre in the Airport West community shopping precinct on McNamara Avenue. It has been operating since 2006 and is open from 6:45am to 6:15pm. The centre cares for children from birth up to school age, and is conveniently located next to St Christopher's Primary School.
Outside in the recently renovated playgrounds, the children are free to play in the natural environment with sandpits, slide, balancing ropes, climbing equipment, cars, bikes, and even a wooden fire engine to sit in. Inside, the children enjoy the small community feel, large open spaces and natural light. With regular incursions, a school readiness program and an Italian language program, there’s so much for little ones to learn every day.
The centre even offers the opportunity for children to visit a bulk billed GP who comes to the centre each week. Take a tour at Bimbi Early Learning and Kindergarten to see if the centre is just right for your family.

I was so upset that I didn't discover BIMBI early enough. If you see this post, put your name on waitlist immediately. Trust me, your future self will thank you. Below are my own experience comparing with the previous care we enrolled to. The previous care was newer and bigger in A.W., but it's like a survival game in the backyard mixing children approx. 2 years old to 4/5 years old, often rough play unsupervised probably due to lack of manpower even educator told me it's very out of control. My child hates to go daily. After change to BIMBI, it's so different once my child settled into the 3 years old kinder. No more refusal to go to childcare and he even start to eat the Neapolitan sauce which is like a miracle to me. I listed few pros and cons below for your reference if you are considering BIMBI. PROS: * Family owned care, everyone so nice and educators knows all the child's name from different rooms. * Each room has 3 educators for 22 to 23 kids for what I understand which is a huge plus for 3&4 years old. As most other childcare is in ratio of 1:11. * Each room has their separate backyard, so no mix age during the backyard play. Best thing ever. I assume this is also the reason why my child doesn't get sick so often. * Outdoor and indoor plays are so well organised, and there are always multiple activities on the table whenever I do pick up and drop off. * Weekly incursion for Kinder 3 & 4. Tuesday - Sports/ Wednesday - Happy Feet/ Wednesday - Italian. Try your best to get those days. Your kids will love it. * There are also occasional excursions to Niddrie Library and Nearby Park. * Most BIMBI kids goes to St Christopher's, so BIMBI also does the after school care which is so convenient if that's where your child going to study in future. CONS * Facilities maybe a bit slightly dated and needs a bit upgrade which I can see they are trying to do end of last year. But not a big deal. Clearly Pros outweighs Cons. No brainer. Highly recommend.

My daughter has been attending for just over a year and s he has blossomed. The staff are great people, patient and helpful, they even toilet trained my daughter. Office staff are very accommodating and helped my through any issues I had including with child subsidy. All round an incredible centre that has made going back to work easy. Thank you to all the Bimbi staff!
