Beyond the Walls Family Day Care

At Beyond the walls FDC we are a community centred around the wellbeing of the child. We believe in order to shape the world of tomorrow, we need to invest in the children of today. As the name suggests, we are passionate about getting children outdoors and providing children the time, space and freedom to simply be children and connect with our beautiful environments and each other.

We advocate for rich inquiry-based learning, Our intention is to support positive dispositions towards all learning. We believe a child’s curiosity is ignited by the environments which surround them, we design spaces with purpose and intent and offer resources which promote endless learning opportunities and foster a child’s innate sense of wonder.

• We have a large outdoor play space with lots of grass, shade, dirt and sand complete with tree swings, loose parts play and diverse climbing equipment. 
• The environment is able to cater for very young children to school aged children, with easy to access materials to support any interest
• We have a large fully covered patio area for those hot summer days and rainy weeks. The patio has fans installed, indoors is also fully air conditioned and heated with white noise machines in each space for rest and relaxation. 
• We have large mellow mats to ensure children have adequate space to create and explore, we also have well organised, clean and high quality resources to support an emergent curriculum and scaffold children's learning as it unfolds through adding in various resources to extend their thinking and play in real time.
