At Avenues Kimberley Park, outdoor education is at the heart of our philosophy and programs. We believe in the power of intentional teaching, where a range of learning outcomes are thoughtfully incorporated into fun, play-based experiences. Our long term educators extend learning from the children's interests, ensuring that every activity provides rich, meaningful developmental opportunities. The children enjoy exploring and integrating literacy and numeracy within our sustainabilty practices, engaging in hands-on learning within our vegetable garden, worm farm, composting station and when caring for our centre animals collecting our fresh eggs, and watching the ducks paddle in the duck pond. Our wildflower wonderland challenges children's development in holistic ways as we embed our first nations people teachings and storytelling through caringfor country, while our clay studio and Atelier (art studio) offer creative spaces for artistic exploration. Whether connecting with nature or experimenting with art, our programs inspire curiosity, growth and discovery in a playful and engaging way.
