Astra is truly a wonderful place that cares about the whole child. The staff are just incredible and always kind and caring. They have created an environment that both nurtures and develops. Cannot recommend the centre enough.

I have been so happy with our experience at Astra. It’s a lovely and clean centre. The educators put so much thought into what they do for the children. Recommend this place.

Our almost 2 year old son has been bitten 6 times in 5 months. This is substantial as he is only there 2 days a week. They won’t remove the biters and they have no effective behaviour plans. Furthermore we don’t want our son back there as we’re not satisfied he’ll be safe but Michelle Zhang the owner (who has never made contact) wants us to run the 4 weeks notice period. Cash grabbers over child safety.
Response from the owner14 days agoDear Dave, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely value all input from our families, as it helps us continue to reflect on and improve our practices. We understand your concerns regarding your child’s experience, and we are truly sorry for any distress this situation has caused. Please be assured that the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care is our top priority. As an inclusive early learning centre, we are committed to supporting every child’s development, including working through behaviours such as biting, which can be a common occurrence in the toddler age group. We have implemented individual behaviour support plans where needed, and our educators are continuously engaging in professional development to strengthen their strategies for guiding children's behaviour in positive and supportive ways. We have also observed improvements through these measures. We have worked with your family to explore alternative solutions, and while we respect your decision should you choose to leave our service, we must also adhere to our ceasing care policy, which requires families to provide the necessary notice period. This policy ensures we maintain stability for all children and families within our community. We wish your family all the best in the future and remain committed to fostering a caring and supportive environment for every child. Thank you,
