Alphington Grammar Preschool

We recently finished our time at Gum Nut. Over the past six years both my children attended this daycare, right through to their 4 year kinder program. The teachers have become very loved and trusted adults who helped shape my kids into confident, compassionate, and curious individuals who are / were extremely school ready. The first time I walked into Gum Nut, I immediately knew it was the place for us. The slightly chaotic but sprawling garden was filled with smiling kids immersed in all kinds of different child led activities, with equally engaged and happy teachers (many who have been there 15+ years). It felt like someone’s home rather than a daycare. Over the years, it became my kids’ second home and a kind of extended family, who shared our values of inclusivity, creativity, and just letting kids be kids, following their cues and interests to direct the curriculum. They also nurtured a keen understanding and respect for our environment through various on site activities and the kinder “explore and learn” program (aka bush kinder). I cannot praise this daycare and the staff enough! We will miss you!!
