About Ada Mary A'Beckett Childrens Centre
Located in a quiet pocket of Port Melbourne, Ada Mary A’Beckett Children’s Centre is nestled amongst residential houses, right next to the beach. Despite being just 5km from the CBD, the centre boasts plenty of outdoor space, and large yards, for the children to enjoy. We boast an exceeding rating from ACECQA– meaning we exceed the national benchmark for high quality early childhood education and care. ACECQA is an independent national statutory authority responsible for overseeing important changes to early childhood education and care and outside school hours care in Australia.
Families can make use of easy walking access with secure pram, scooter and bike storage, while our off-street car park allows safe drop off and collection. With all-day parking near-by and easy access to the CBD by bus or tram, our centre is well positioned for families in neighbouring suburbs who commute to the CBD or Docklands. Open 52 weeks per year.

As a family we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Ada Mary. Both our boys have thrived at the centre, creating long lasting friendships and meaningful relationships with educators. The care provided to our boys has allowed their individual personalities to shine. They feel comfortable and at home at Ada Mary, something which has made the childcare journey so much easier for us. We have been at the centre for 7 years now and highly recommend it to anyone seeking care in the Port Melbourne area!

Both my children attend Ada Mary and I wouldn’t leave them in the care of anyone else. When comparing other day care centers, this one stood out. With their Exceptional national quality standards rating (most in the area are only ‘meeting’ expectations), their low staff turnover meaning consistency for my kids and the high quality of staff, it was easy to make the decision. Add in the massive outdoor areas for the kids to play in and the beach kinder program I’m so lucky we got a spot here. Highly recommend to anyone I know. Kids are also very happy to attend and look forward to it each week!
