The Learning Sanctuary Morningside
Meet the Team
The Learning Sanctuary Morningside prides itself on the fact that the team at this brand new centre were all hand picked. Each educator was chosen for their passion for early education, and their dedication to developing the next generation of children.
Educators put the needs of the children first, celebrate their differences and provide a very high level of care. They want children to feel as though this is their second home.
This passionate group of educators believe that the best way for children to learn and develop is to play, play, play! With this in mind, the educators seek to provide an experience that will inspire a love of learning that the children will keep as they progress with formal schooling.
Communication is key for the educators, which is why they ensure that parents always feel heard, can offer feedback, and can help tailor their child’s experience based on their interests.
The educators at The Learning Sanctuary Morningside understand how valuable experiences are for the children, such as excursions and incursions to extend their learning. Within the centre, weekly sports and language programs are offered at no additional charge.
Technology plays a role in the children’s learning, with interactive whiteboards, touch tables, and fun computer programs to help children learn about technology. Parents can access photos and updates about their child’s day through the centre’s free app, Xplor Home.
They have great attention to detail and always make myself and my child’s happiness their top priority. But the best part by far is the staff in the rooms, who are extremely friendly and really care for my daughter.

About the Curriculum
Educators try to provide a home away from home where children feel safe and secure. The children’s wellbeing and development is the focus, with age appropriate activities. Children take part in tummy time, sensory play, messy play, reading and singing.
Educators encourage the children to learn through play, to encourage development. This will take the form of music, dance, games, and reading. Group play is designed to develop confidence and social skills. Books and language games are enjoyed, to develop communication, literacy and numeracy.
The children learn through play to encourage development, through music, dance, games, reading and lots of outdoor fun. Educators encourage group play to develop confidence and social skills. Risky play and extra-curricular activities such as yoga and Japanese are encouraged in a safe space.
A school readiness program will help children prepare for the next step in their education. Children lead the curriculum depending on their interests and preferences. Respect for self and others is taught while play based learning is designed to enhance their social and emotional skills before they begin formal schooling. Includes risky play such as woodwork to help build resilience.
At The Learning Sanctuary Morningside, we provide children with a safe and secure base to develop meaningful, reciprocal and respectful relationships.
Health & Nutrition
Food is used as a way to teach the children about the benefits of healthy eating. Children eat together and learn how to serve each other, pack away, and the importance of eating a variety of foods.
Children are taught about the benefits of growing your own food by helping out with the centre’s own vegetable garden.
