We have regrettably had to remove our children from Nino, after yet another complaint to Management is thrown back in our face. The poor management at this centre over the years has resulted in an extraordinarily high educator turnover, for example my daughter had 3 kindergarten teachers in one year. There simply is no stability. My youngest always felt like she was extra baggage, always placed in a room she was slightly to old for, with no explanation provided to me on the reasoning for this. In fact I was snapped at when I asked. There is an almost complete absence of communication with the parent, a problem that has been ongoing for the 3 years I had my children in there, it resulted in numerous complaints to educators and management, most of which resulted on no action. Now since you chose to label our complain as lies, you will have it here in public for posterity. It was this latest: being ignored by the assistant manager at dropoff, when its the only option to convey messages to the educator under COVID-19 restrictions is simply not acceptable. Apparently, it seems, we were expected to be the ones to greet the staff. Heres the thing Nino, you arent our friends: you are professionals looking after very young children, its not for us to curry your favour, it for you to do your job and be professional. That said, unfortunately, this only happens to those the management dont like, if you are part of the "trendy parent group", you will be fine. Sounds like an American high school movie from the 80s doesn't it? The response from management when I advised that they have a duty of care to kids? Oh, we have a duty of care to our staff. And there you have it, the philosophy of Nino Mickleham, well if the needs of your staff are so important, pay them more so they wont leave. But Ill be dammed if I leave my beautiful children in your care if that is your philosophy. And for the record we are decent people, and your imputation that we are not only reflects poorly on Nino's professionalism.
