Charley's Place Redwood

Charley's Place all-new daycare and early education centre at 2 Burnage Street opened in January 2019 and is part of the East Toowoomba school catchment zone. This centre will introduce the Charley's group's first 'forest school' concept.

'Forest School' is about teaching children using the outdoor environment; the ethos is about promoting confidence, self-esteem and independence through small achievable tasks. The Redwood centre includes a number of eco-focused features that compliment the range top surroundings, including fire pits and forest walks.

All Charley’s Place Forest School sessions are linked to the curriculum, with the emphasis on child-lead learning with our qualified practitioners facilitating sessions to gain personal outcomes for each participant. Forest School can be applied to all age groups and abilities and the centre includes educationally equipped nursery, toddler, junior kindy and senior kindy rooms.
