Getting to Castlereagh Street Early Learning Centre9 Castlereagh Street, Sydney
CARISSA DONNELLY - 6 months ago
I couldn’t speak more highly of Castlereagh Street. My son has been attending here since the beginning of 2017. We viewed a couple of other centres before deciding on this one and I feel so lucky to have chosen Castlereagh – a bit like striking gold! The educators are second to none and very caring and loving. A lot of thought gets put into the curriculum and I’m always impressed with the activities the kids get up to during the day. They go on amazing weekly excursions e.g. museum, opera house, to the park to plant trees etc. They bake cakes when it’s a birthday and dumplings for lunch, they have a worm farm, a library from which you can borrow books to take home, a music/dancing/audio visual room just to name a few things. Rebecca, one of the educators is a qualified preschool teacher and excellent – my son was writing his name at 3 years old! All in all very warm, fun and educational environment, it really is a home away from home. Highly recommended and unique - this isn’t an ordinary daycare centre!

Our son has been going there since he was 7 months old and to him the centre is like an extended family - the familiar faces of the carers and kids there indicate a safe environment to him. I was particularly impressed with the idea using recycled parts as toys when we had the tour at the centre, and am continuously impressed by constant creativity of having family library, audio / visual room, decompose food waste, worm farm, etc - the centre focuses on social skills and exposures of different aspects for the kids. I highly recommend the centre to anyone who's keen to find a daycare in the city!
