About Ariah Park Preschool
We are a community run centre for children between the ages of 3 and school age. The centre is licensed and funded by the Department of Education and Communities, whose regulations maintain high standards of service and a quality education programme.
The staff consists of a teacher/director, with 3 years of University training and over 20 years teaching experience and 1 experienced assistant with Cert III Childrens Services and over 10 years at our preschool. When the need arises, we employ casual staff with experience and qualifications, endeavoring to give the children as consistent primary caregivers as we are able to. All staff work closely with the children , in a maximum ratio of 1:10, providing an atmosphere of caring and acceptance, with stimulating and creative activities which are designed to facilitate the full development of each child and to prepare them for further experiences.
The staff are encouraged and supported by the management committee, to undertake ongoing training, keeping up with current and new trends in Early Childhood Education, and to put into practice in the classroom, theory or practical ideas they have learned during the courses or seminars.
We have included some of the more relevant policies you may need during your child’s preschool career. We have a more comprehensive policy folder which is available for your perusal anytime. Our Quality Improvement Plan is also available. We welcome your feedback and input. There is a monthly meeting which you are welcome to attend to voice your opinions.
Again welcome to our Preschool, we hope you and your little ones enjoy your time here!
